The highest performance video boards available for IBM compatibles are based on the TI 34010 chip set.  Boards based on this chip set generally sell to the CAD market and offer resolutions as high as 1280 X 1024 in 256 colors.

NEC offers a card based on the TI 34010 running at 50 MHz.

Compaq is also offering its own video card which incorporates the TI 34010 chip set.
